Duke of Gordon's Monument (1840-)Description
This monument, at the top of the small hill Tor Alvie on the Kinrara estate, is a column erected in 1840 to the memory of General George Duncan Gordon, the 5th Duke of Gordon (1770-1836). He had no legitimate heir and was the last Duke of Gordon.
Nearby are the Duchess of Gordon's Monument and Waterloo Cairn. The monument is north of Kinrara House.
